Jason Klingerman

I'm an English educator with a focus on writing, communication and literary analysis. I work with middle and high school students to make challenging material more approachable and help them develop their own thinking.

My approach brings explanation, questions and practice together—with room for the student to ask, try and revise.

An easy first step

Talk first. Find a starting point.

Not sure what your student needs? Start with an optional free 10–15-minute consultation. We'll talk about what feels difficult, what the student wants to improve, and whether tutoring is a good fit.

The student questionnaire is optional too. You can have the consultation before filling it out, or talk through the questions together. No completed questionnaire is required, and you can request a paid session directly.

Tell me what your student is working on and when you're available. Every session is confirmed personally.

Scheduling
Sunday noon–5 p.m. and Tuesday 5–8 p.m., Mountain time, are tentative request windows. Every time, format, and location is confirmed personally.

Session terms
One-hour tutoring sessions are $50 per student, payable at the start by cash or an available electronic method. Cancellation is free if you contact me before the scheduled start. A missed confirmed session without that notice carries the full $50 fee. The initial consultation is free.

A request does not reserve a time or require payment. Please use a parent or guardian's contact details.

For you, the student, to answer in your own words. A parent or guardian can help. Skip any question, or say "not sure." You can discuss these during the consultation instead. Please leave out private student records. Any answers you enter will be sent with this request through Formspree.

Mentioning a test does not mean every test or subject is offered. We'll discuss fit and scope before booking.
